Jonas Mekas was an American filmmaker and artist who was introduced to Jackie Kennedy and her kids by Montauk photographer Peter Beard In the late ’60s. Mekas brought his 16mm Bolex camera out with him and what ensued was "This Side of Paradise: Fragments of an Unfinished Biography." The rare footage Jonas Mekas captured of JFK Jr. and Caroline Kennedy served as an inspiration point for this collection and these faille pieces are named in his honor.This unique skirt, a mix of faille fabric at the bottom, combined with blue collar "worker" cable knit on top, is drop-waisted and features an exposed zipper at the side with a velvet ribbon pull and an interior waistband in velvet that won't stretch out.
