product description
Owned AND Worn BY RED Skelton - Vintage 1970s Piaget Men's Watch - 18k White Gold and Diamonds Today's auction features this exclusive ultra-thin Piaget men's watch crafted in 18k white gold and paved with diamonds owned and worn by Emmy and Golden Globe winners and television. Hall of Fame comedian Red Skelton. It could also be worn very well by a woman. It is part of our Celebrity Watch Collection which has been featured in GQ, Revolution Watch, Europa Star, Jck, Hampton's Magazine, Gotham Magazine, Vegas Magazine, Silicon Valley magazine and my others. recently partnered with us for a special and exclusive sale of seven of these watches. As one of the world leaders in “haute couture” watches, Piaget counts kings and queens, princes and princesses, and Hollywood actors among its clients. Many of their inspired designs blur the distinction between watches and jewelry. It's a real statement piece. Made by Piaget in 18k white gold and set with approx. 100 brilliant-cut and single-cut diamonds, and mounted on an original 14-carat white gold bracelet, this watch is a must-have on the wrist. Diamonds are white and eye clean. The bezel is completely covered by them with a total carat weight of approx. 2 carats. Its slim case serves as the housing for one of the thinnest movements ever made, Piaget's award-winning high-quality 9P series movement. Its famous movement, one of the world's first ultra-thin wristwatch engines, is only 2.15mm thick, less than the thickness of half a US dollar! Despite its small size, it sacrifices nothing in terms of performance, having built a reputation as one of the most refined and reliable mechanisms at the highest level of fine watchmaking. One of the most interesting aspects of this watch is its level of wear. Although it is still in nice condition, it has clearly been worn several times. Think about the special events this watch has attended! We didn't polish the watch...we left it as Mr. Skelton last used it. The only overhaul we carried out was the interior of the watch to make it ready for immediate use and the fitting of a new correct glass to give a clear view of the dial, as Mr Skelton's wearing had seriously scratched the original glass. The original will be included with the sale to be kept with the watch if the buyer prefers to return it to its completely original condition. A light polishing could make the watch look like new. One of our master watchmakers took it apart down to the last screw, cleaned it and oiled it, making it ready for immediate use ($695 value). It keeps very precise time. It comes with a certificate of authenticity and provenance from a well-known auction house and a certificate of authenticity from Connoisseur of Time. We will list several watches from the famous artist. Don't miss this unique opportunity to own one. The retail price for a new Piaget in 18k gold and diamonds would be Us$69,000 + tax.
