British designer Richard Brendon looked to the V & A Museum's illustration archives for inspiration for the Dragon Flower collection, a series of fine bone china tableware made in homage to the intricate and delicate nature of Georgian ceramics. Each piece, including this oval serving plate, has been handmade in Stoke-on-Trent in England, the traditional home of British ceramics, with the detailed print combining art and whimsy: the flowers resemble dragons for a mythical twist on conventional floral designs.
